Diman, North Lebanon Jul 12 2007: A delegation from Jieh visited HB Patriarch Mar Nasrallah Botros Sfeir in Diman this morning to explain to his Beatitude the reasons behind the Jieh parishioners rejection of the appointment of a Parish priest. Jieh Municipal Council president Dr George Azzi presented the patriarch with a brief history on the special relationship between Jieh , its Churhces and St Charbel Monastery and relayed to the Patriarch the parishioners wishes to keep the special relationship with the Deir and to exempt Jieh from a parish priest. Patriarch Sfeir expressed his understanding of the situation and said that "the faxes keep coming from Australia" urging his assistance on this matter. The meeting with the Patriarch was positive and the delegation left with high hopes.
