The opposition proved its destructive face in the latest events.
Its staged militiray coup-d'etat will not stand.Period.
PM Saniora is not the problem, the arms of Hizbulla are the main obstacle to peace in Lebanon.
Hizbullah military operations must be ceased and its arms must be surrendered. This is the bottom line that the majority should maintain and there should be no dialogue until the complete surrender of Hizbulla arms even if Lebanon had to resort to the UN to enforce such resolution.
In his Monday sermon Rev. Dr Nassif is accusing PM Saniora of "Rebuilding Militias",
Qawmiye Souriye (Socialist Syrian National Party SSNP) and other opposition groups with heavy arms advanced into west Beirut behind well armed Special Hizbulla units
As I had always predicted, the dirty actions of the opposition were a trap they were bound to fall into, without question.
Everything else is glorified in pompous talk because Hezbollah for instance is in damage control now since the Mughniyeh assassination,
The purpose of muscle flexing in this state of damage control is to re-energize them psychologically because of the defeat they suffered in 2006, internationally and in internal politics.
The fact that there is an absence of independent political opinion in the opposition only goes to highlight the true nature and questions the integrity of a body that has nothing binding it except hatred of the government
and I can bet you the government was placing its bets on it happening sooner or later
Hezbollah has destroyed all hopes of its highly glorified image
Aoun has again made the stupid decision of supporting YET ANOTHER useless war (that's twice a violation of his own Memorandum of Understanding).
The SSNP just came out of nowhere in force so they have already tarnished their own image.
Well, where to from here? It looks like it's goodbye to diplomacy and goodwill for the opposition, it's either war or its time to cross the floor.

If it were such a thing then it would have been over long ago. We know that the opposition is quite capable of taking over all of Lebanon if it wanted to in 2 days yep 48 hrs! Enough loyalist propaganda. Make up your minds.. is this a sunni shia conflict or a political one??? If the opposition wanted a coup it would have done it by now. 10 ISF guards are not stoping it form marching into the Seraile. We want our rights.PM Saniora is not the problem, the arms of Hizbulla are the main obstacle to peace in Lebanon.
We have discussed the problems on many occasions. The problem is not HA weapons and it is not the tents downtown. 4 month ago you said Lahoud, lahoud is gone now. The problem is the government.Hizbullah military operations must be ceased and its arms must be surrendered. This is the bottom line that the majority should maintain and there should be no dialogue until the complete surrender of Hizbulla arms even if Lebanon had to resort to the UN to enforce such resolution.
It’s being tried before when they tried it with Chapter7. It wont work. Come on george you know it is not as simple as this, these ultimatums wont work. We have been through this a million times before. In his Monday sermon Rev. Dr Nassif is accusing PM Saniora of "Rebuilding Militias",
can you deny that? they who the f*&K is the opposition fighting? them selves?Qawmiye Souriye (Socialist Syrian National Party SSNP) and other opposition groups with heavy arms advanced into west Beirut behind well armed Special Hizbulla units
shoo mafee FTV! your watching LBC? heavy artilery? the only heavy arms are used by jumblats PSP in the mounains. FYI HA is yet to send its special units into the battle...
CadmusAs I had always predicted, the dirty actions of the opposition were a trap they were bound to fall into, without question.
a trap??? please explain your prediction nostradamusEverything else is glorified in pompous talk because Hezbollah for instance is in damage control now since the Mughniyeh assassination,
oh please...The purpose of muscle flexing in this state of damage control is to re-energize them psychologically because of the defeat they suffered in 2006, internationally and in internal politics.
damn man you have a diagnoses for everyting...The fact that there is an absence of independent political opinion in the opposition only goes to highlight the true nature and questions the integrity of a body that has nothing binding it except hatred of the government
yes thats politics.. strategic and electoral alliances. i believe the opposition has more in common than the loyalists lets use LF and PSP for example who other than partitioning the country have nothing in common other than a history of bloody wars.and I can bet you the government was placing its bets on it happening sooner or later
sure i agree, that is what the gov is working towards. have you ever seen a gov work against it own people.. ours doesHezbollah has destroyed all hopes of its highly glorified image
looooooooooooool get real manAoun has again made the stupid decision of supporting YET ANOTHER useless war (that's twice a violation of his own Memorandum of Understanding).
violation how??The SSNP just came out of nowhere in force so they have already tarnished their own image.
your giving them far more credit then they deserve
Well, where to from here? It looks like it's goodbye to diplomacy and goodwill for the opposition, it's either war or its time to cross the floor.
no the loyalists cant win a war they know that and the opposition doesnt want one. What will happen are the round table talks...

What rights are u talking about?? haven't u had enough rights to arm all kind of militias and former marxist organizations and hiring heavy hitters Goebbels propagandists flip-flops former Baathists who think that hitting on religious figures and defending former tormentors (ie Syria) will gain them popularity.
And finally , defending someone's village is a universal right, attacking someone's village is a crime.

We have no intention of holding any territory. This is not an attempt to occupy lebanon. What rights are u talking about?? haven't u had enough rights to arm all kind of militias and former marxist organizations and hiring heavy hitters Goebbels propagandists flip-flops former Baathists who think that hitting on religious figures and defending former tormentors (ie Syria) will gain them popularity.
the right of equal representation. Your not talking about Fayez in the latter part of your statement are you ?
oh yes i have had enough of all militias that is why the opposition is assisting the army in disarming them in the jabal as we speak (hopefully they will take extreme caution in baakleen)
And finally , defending someone's village is a universal right, attacking someone's village is a crime.
Then why are you defending those who attacked ours?
george wrote:
No I am not talking about a specific person, It is an awkward situation the one Kim Aoun-Ill Sung has put the Christians.
Most of his assistants and allies are either former Syrian informers or collaborators.
Aoun-Ill is pretty eager to visit Syria to "give them a chance to know him better".
What happened to the diplomatic recognition of Lebanon? What about the border dispute? What about the Lebanese in Syrian jails? What about the bloody nature of the Syrian regime? Is he that eager to sell out to the Syrians??
I am not defending anyone, and fyi most of Aoun-Ill's current allies had a hand in attacking our village
Abou Jamra wrote:They know him very well. GMA will only visit syria on a state visit. that will happen in 2009 when he is president.
